heading up to picton this afternoon sometime and just curious how rough
the waters will be in the bay,they are calling for 20 km winds from the north
we will be going in a 16 foot aluminum and just want to play it safe.any info
is greatly appreciated as always.

stay on the north shore and you will be fine, in picton bay even the south shouldnt be to bad, long reach will be bumpy. i got a 15 foot tinner and ive fished in worse out there so you should be fine. just know your limits and what your capable of handling

I usually do one of two things .... troll against the wind or anchor and jig .... good luck

thnks we fished picton thursday night and most of friday and the wind wasnt to bad.
although the winds today were definately making their presence known,some good sized
waves.and as usual i got skunked by the bay lol.my buddy did manage 1 sheephead around 4-5 lbs.
