If you tie directly to your lures with braid, you will get tangles though. If they don't tangle around the hooks of the lure you are using, the end of the rod will tangle... Grab some 20lb Fluorocarbon and tie a UNI to UNI knot with about 4 ' leader.
Not true I have been using Tuf Line Duracast now for about 15 months its coated braided line thats meant to be used on spinning reels. Best braided line I have ever used, lure tie ups and tip knots and tangles are absolutely gone. I was hesitant of their claims at first now I swear by it too, I now see it being used by Charlie Wray also. Its american made and can be hard to find in Canada in some spots. I found it in Bancroft from Chestners Outdoors, not sure if Bass Pro in Canada has it but I know their US stores do. I stocked up last time when I was at Gander Mountain. Check out all the reviews and their website, I will never put anything else on a spinning reel. I started off trying it on one reel then I took all my other braids off the others and got rid of it, Suffix 832 is way over rated and over priced. Yeah its nice looking line but take nail clippers with you cause you gonna get tons of knots. Not worth the hassle or price.
Hope this helps :
