Stumbled on this tonight and thought others might like the link too b/c Luhr jensens web site has such vag descripitions of lure sizes.

Thanks for posting that link - i have a copy of the 2003-2004 Luhr Jensen Catalog with the GOOD lures - Fingerling Hi-Catch (really good fall walleye lures) / Power Dive Minnow (a famous TV fisher from Quinte said it was his favourite fall lure) and this catalog was after they discontinued the Alpena Diamond - probably the best spoon ever made for multiple species.

I have a dozen of each the Fingerling hi-catch and the power dive minnow but haven't caught much on them at quinte. I guess it all about confidence as I mostly go back to the RR and Taildancers while im on quinte, but I do bring the others out when I am not getting any on my favorites.

You're right about the confidence level, if it aint there when the lure is out, you'd best change ASAP.

Those Fingerlings will produce BIG fish....as will the the big Power dives.

Will be trying them on the weekend.

I will give them a try when I go on the 18th.

Do you find they are better when it gets colder?

What about speeds, they better at higher speeds or lower speeds.

Keep up the reports always fun reading about your adventures. Sure wish I lived closer....

sturg, when the water temps are warmer, say above 42 degree's, the wide wobble baits (i have found) work better...these would be the taildancers and reefrunners...

but when that water temp really dives, i go for the power dives and crystal minnows....very rarely do I take fish on reefers (except puple daemon) when the water drops like that.

thanks for the tips about the Power divers in the cooler water. I only have 3 power dives, but my buddy back home near Erie is mailing me a bunch of them to use on Quinte.
