I know it is only the 12th, but just wondering if anyone made it out in the wind yesterday or today? There were no posts saying much, so I figure most people stayed off the water. I wanted to get out tomorrow, which they are calling for similar winds to today and yesterday, and wanted to know if it would be possible in a 16 foot side console. If anyone has any updates of how it has been out there it would be appreciated.

I am new to Quinte and planning to fish Hay Bay tomorrow. The forecast says 30km/h South wind. Do you guys think it will be possible to fish south shore of Hay Bay on 16 footer? I am planning jigging only. Any information is appreciated. Thanks.

south shore haybay will be fine in that wind, the question is where will you be launching to get there... I heard that the church ramp is not very usable due to low water conditions and shermans launch will be miserable in that wind.

The church ramp has had the dock extension removed and with the water as low as it is, the ramp is almost unusable for anything other than a small tinny.

Yeah we headed out...so did quite a few other boats. Headed for the ferry because of the SW wind; when we finally got there, wind turned west ; felt like 50kms. Decided to head back to Sherman's to try to get out of the wind as much as possible. It was rough out there, and I just hope everyone got back safely. Tomorrow is another days, hopefully easier. Only got 1 fish, nothing to brag about though...

We got out in a 17 footer out of Picton, you should be ok. Was a tough battle with the wind, but there were lots of boats out there. Only picked up one fish, but marked lots more in the area where long reach and hay bay meet. The water goes from 50 to 30 and they seemed to be stacked up in there. TD9 silver shad 200 back. Be safe and good luck.

This was another 9.5lb fish we picked up out in the Reach on Friday close to the Lighthouse. She was a tough go out there. TD11 Emerald 250 back. Stacey at Pro Tackle in Belleville hooked us up with this bait so thanks! My brother always gets to reel them in for some reason, I'm too nice I guess!
