Well Gang!

Where to begin, the fishing is hot right now. Get out if you get the chance but be safe. We were out all weekend but Saturday, in some awesome swells however in the right boat for the job. Here was one.

To answer the question, "do Mann's work"..Uh...Hell Ya :!:

My advice, be sure to have the option to use planer boards and down riggers if you can. Just gives you more options. The Friday we were one of very few boats without boards, virtually all fish that day came off the boards. We got zilch.

Saturday, they came off a mix of boards and riggers, as well as Sunday. Just have as many options as you can.

These two were caught Sunday. I kept a six pounder to eat, while my buddy kept an 11 pounder to mount. All others were returned to catch another day.

Here's shot of us out Sunday....Saturday was at least 3 times as bad...

Final tally for us was 5 Sheepsheads and 7 Wallies. Not great numbers, but considering the conditions. We'll take it. We put in at the Ferry for Sunday, but we were marking them all over.

Very Important!!

Don't forget to tune your bait each time you get a strike. These Mann's don't take much to get whacked out of shape. Very easy and fast to do..Keep some needlenose with you.

Wall-I-Guy,

Great report with some wise words. I dont have riggers so I basically just run the boards and long line the lures. How deep were the guys running the ball on the riggers. Just trying to get a handle on how deep the fish were? Again great report and pics

Dann,
Caught 4 eyes off the riggers last Wednesday at 30 and 35 ft down on J-13 Rapalas in Firetiger and Clown over 100+ feet of water. Sunny and light winds.

cheers'

Thanks Dann,

Eye-Tracker's right on the money there. We were at 30 most of the time in our boat.

Wow, great job with the camera also. The pic of you guys in the boat is great. Viewers can feel the waves, wind and the chill. Also, we can see the joy, anticipation and diversity or the gear you mention. Great Job!

Thanks for the Welcome guys.

Superdad, I picked up a couple of real nice custom made Uzick Spinners while I was at Blakewood. I'll try them next year in the summer here on the grand river.

I'm going to get back up to Quinte next week on a weekday and make a few more passes in hopes of finding more of those big eyes!

Awesome time last weekend. WIG was a fantastic partner for the 2 days, full of positive energy and an endless resource of Wallie knowledge. I can't wait to get out with ya again WIG!

They do look awesome. SSOOO many lures and not enough time to use them all.
