What is with this weather ? Today they are calling for a record high of 17... at this rate the Bay is going to take forever to freeze so all you guys out there doing the Sun Dance knock it off. I have been doing the ice fishing boogie for three weeks now and even got the hut out and locked her up in the back of the truck. I don't want to have to rent some poor guys pontoon boat and set my hut up on it because i think he would be mad as heck when i bring it back with 2 - 10" holes cut through the floor of it. Fred...
OK boy's carry on....

Since I'm missing the fall fishing, I'll be happy to have ice by the time I get home. Let there be ice by Dec 20th.

You poor silly fools, ice is for drinks and bruises as wise man on here once said.

Drinks and bruises... NOT fishing...... drinks and bruises!!

Truth be told, I keep checking the long range and praying for the warm to stick around! Last year I was handcuffed in November because my buddy was away in Cuba and then at the hunt for the first 2 weeks. After that, 3 straight weeks for him at work. By the time December hit, it got frigid fast for 10 straight days and it was game over for my year.

Not gonna happen this year! Keep those water temps posts coming! As soon as it hits 40F, I'm packing my bags!

I wouldn't mine using the boat until at least mid December. Then it can turn cold.

Lots of time for the hard water.

OK GUYS. IT WORKS LIKE THIS, YOU HAVE BROWN TROUT FISHING IN THE SPRING, THEN SUMMER BASS AND EYE FISHING, THEN SALMON FISHING, THE BOW HUNTING, AND FISHING, THEN GUN HUNTING, AND FISHING, THE YOU SHIVER FISH AND YOU BREAK THIN ICE WITH THE BOAT FISHING, AND THEN AND ONLY THEN IN THE 3ED PART OF DECEMBER ITS TIME TO .... ICE FISH TWO THINGS ONE MUST NEVER DO, THATS RUSH THRU LIFE OR RUSH THRU THE 4 SEASONS OF fishing!
