I am looking for a ice 45 or 55. Cdn tire in Belleville has both in stock $499 and $589
Their price seems a bit high. What is everyone else paying?
Thanks

Check the price here http://www.radioworld.ca they are very good to deal with. $510.00 for the ice 55 plus a $50.00 mail in rebate.

I bought the Ice 45 last year at Radioworld; I wouldn’t go on the ice now without it. With proper setting you get no interference if you’re fishing alongside someone else with a flasher. As punchinholes said there are a few major names out there and they all do basically the same, I bought the hummingbird because I got a good deal. When you get one, the learning curve is real short, easy to use and work with. Good luck with whatever you buy, and stop by and say Hi on the ice.

The Lowrance x67c will do everything you want. It comes as a ice machine or stand alone fish finder. I have the Ice kit with the carrying case, battery, and ice transducer. I just had to purchase the HST-WSU transducer from Lowrance and it now worked great in my boat this year too.

Does anyone have any info on the small hand held flasher unit that Marcum makes? It believe it's called a showdown. $199 at Gander.

Humminbird makes a few other LCD models, specifically the 385CI, which also has GPS capabilities. Most other Humminbird models have flasher modes too. These models can be good for the hard and soft water. If you want a straight-up flasher though, go with an ICE 55, or 45.
Lowrance X67C is ok, but doesn't hold up over the long haul, I own both and Humminbird is superior in my opinion.

Amazing deal, I am looking for the same unit. Looks like radio world is the cheapest at $510 with a $55 mail in rebate.

As much as I don't like the place Bass Pro is $499 for the ice 55
