Hi guys, new to this board. Wondering if anyone could tell me what a 35 km sw wind will do to the bay and if i'll be able to get out? Will it effect picton bay, adolphous reach and thomsons area the same or will there be fishable water somewhere on the bay for a 18 foot boat? Thinking of cancelling my 3 day trip this weekend but hoping someone wil tell me different... any replys will be very appreciated.

send a private message to grizzly, he has a lot of experience with the winds and where the fish really bite during certain winds. he knows where it is calmest too

Read reports from last weekend bud, should be similar. You're in an 18 footer, so you should be able to handle a bit. Might wanna fish Saturday rather than Sunday.

35 kms/hr is not bad but the gust to 60 stink. No boat control.

It's not going to be pretty on the weekend.

the problem is it constantly changes haha, i never look at the weather a week ahead cause normally it never stays the same, its so hard to predict the weather a week in advance, but 20k is good!!

Windguru or Windfinder are pretty accurate 3 or 4 days in advance. Calling for 35 k Saturday morning, and up to 40 k Sunday.
