I agree for the bay but fishing north ...... only power augers for me.

10 inch is the best size i think but going that big it needs a motor on top or some big arms to turn it! :lol:

i would stick with an 8 inch hand auger,it would suck to have a big eye not fit through a 6 inch hole.
