Well even though it was pouring rain this morning , I had a field loaded with geese that was just calling our names. We had a great shoot and limited out with 15 by 9:00 am. Hope to do it all again on the weekend. I am waiting for December 1 to shave that squirel of my face ( for Movember ). The geese worked well today even though they have been hunted hard in the area we were in.

Nice shooting guys! Just wondering what kind of shells you find work best on the geese.

I am using Black Cloud 3 1/2 # 2's...... it knocks them down way out there. They have been workin fine for me so far.

You just talked me into trying them then. I've been looking for a good reason to. I like Challenger 3.5" #2 but they are hard to find around here and I haven't really liked anything else yet. Thanks for the info.

just remember with the black cloud to open up your shot pattern. if not you will be very frustrated. I still use a modified choke, but my dad and uncle switched to improved cylinder and found that helped them a ton. I got used to shooting with the modified and don't wanna change, but everyone I talked to that has success opened up the pattern.

I only have a modified and a full choke for now, what did you find you had to do to get used it?
