lanched the boat at 7 trolled from picton bay to the ferry with noluck made
a few runs by the ferry had one hit . that was all so we trolled are way up to shurmans and stoped for a quick jig picked up a 5pd sheephead. on the way back in trolled up the east shore in about 35 feet of water. bang within a few minutes hooked one brougt him to the edge of the boat were he smiled at me and swam off with my lure. trolled a up and down across from thompsons the the edge of picton bay till we headed in for the nigth.
in all I hook 8 fish landed two walleye one in the slot the other 30''one pike 36'' and the rest broke off . I think my problem was the new line I used all fish that were landed were on fire line the others broke yo-zuri
hybred florulcarbon 12lb test the funny part is that i was running a 10lb berkley tri-line leader from a jet diver and the 12 pound was braking I think i am going back to fire line before i go out again. Oh well the hooks were all barbless so hopfuly they will come out and if not maybe one of yous well get anice new manns or deep diving huskey :)

Line is the last thing you should go cheap on (as you probably know now)...

I never buy the cheap stuff, trusted name brands only. More important I change all my mono and fluro line in the spring. I reverse the braid lines on my reels to get another year out of them.

Caught 21 Walleye in 3 days (Fri-Sun) this past weekend on newly spooled 10 lb Berkley vanish and didn't have any break offs. Landed a 12.5, 13.2 and 16.6 on 10 lb line. I did make sure to re-tie whenever a nick was found on the line which is also very important.

Cheers,

Mike
