Had an excellent hunt yesterday in the County. Six of us went to Nicholson Island (the island off Scotch Bonnet) after an invite from the property manager. It's a private hunt island for Pheasant, but the deer have been slowly taking it over. We were told to shoot only Does, this year. We filled our tags in 4 hours. We also brought home 30 pheasants. What a place!!! Just packed with Pheasant and Deer. Saw a lot of BIG bucks too.

Sounds like quite the treat. Anytime I've been fishing around the Bonnet, I've always dreamed of what it would be like to hunt on there.

How did the deer get there, I wonder, its long swim, unless it froze up at one time, and they walked ,lol.

Must be where all the deer have gone in the county........we hunted hard all week and nadda...........Coyote tracks the size of a St Bernard track. Talked to a bunch of different guys and all having same luck as us. Weather did not exactly help but little fresh sign.. Game cams within last couple of weeks were showing a variety of different deer but have vanished this week. We still had a good time and a bad day hunting is still way better than a good day at work!!!!

HI Dave,
Sounds like a great hunt. Did you go with a certain manager of the BNS in Wellington? Just curious as he lives 4 doors down from me and he was telling me about going. Sounds like you had a great time.
Well done,
Sheldon
