HI guys, just curious of how many ppl actually leave the trail cams they have out during the non hunting season, or even just till the end of it? I am about to go and check mine, and I remember reading something about leaving them out yr round.. though that could have been in warmer areas it meant. Remeber i am new at this..so I may ask some really odd or dumb ?'s.

I'll be hunting deer the last week and usually put mine out then. You can see a few pics in the 2010 trail cam thread from last year of the end of December. I haven't had mine out lately but should.

The deer winter on my property and I feed then corn to assist them during tough times. I keep mine out all winter. You never know what you are going to see. Last year, I had a huge buck show up on December 18th. After mid January, I assumed he had lost his rack as I was not getting anymore pictures of racks. Then on February 21, he shows up. You could have bought me for a nickle when I viewed this picture. I have never seen a big rack last so long. Unfortunatley, I never found his sheds.
One thing I have learned in doing this for 4 years, is that even in the dead of winter, these buggers are still 80% nocturnal.

cool pics, thanks for replying guys. I went to check on cams yesterday, and I had them on 3 of the 4 trails that lead to a cornfield.. and the 4th trail actually had deer tracks leading to the corn.. not any of the other trails.. so no new deer pics for me :(
