Decided to visit Bass Pro at 10:00am yesterday and see what all the hoo ha is about.......big mistake.

Parking lots and roads are not completeley finished yet and I had to fight all the mall shoppers just to get a space near Bass Pro. The journey (1km from work) took me approx 90 minutes before getting into the doors of Bass Pro.

The store is very impressive and they have just about everything a guy could wish for (except beer and women).

They have just about everything imaginable inside the store. I spent about 60 minutes just admiring the boats inside (daydreaming, catching huge fish, visualizing where the woman can sunbathe nude while I fish).
Fishing section is well stocked and there are numerous vendor reps around all the aisles.

The staff in the aisles and the vendor reps were great, had lots of advice and were great to talk to. The check out staff had a lot to be disired, slow and not speedy at all. Thankfully check out lines were short and checked out pretty quickly.

I stayed in the store for nearly 2 1/2 hours and did not even get out of the fishing/marine sections. Will have to do the rest of the store another time.

Bottom line.....store is great, prices are on par with everybody else (some more) well worth the visit. Things should quiet down some in the next few weeks and the trip should be more enjoyable (less crowds).

So, what did I buy? walked out $919.00 poorer.

Looking forward to using my new toys this weekend.

Dave

I had a c hance to hit yesterday aftenoon and got the last two DR.Death streteches. $8.99 but more to follow. Lots of other colours too. Somethigns like lures were cheaper by a buck here and there. The rest of the mall was a waste of space designed for the spenders of $ who would pay a $150 for a pair of jeans with some rich (LOL) guys name on them. I'll see ya at Giant Tigers for the $15 jeans and 50 cent chocolate bar thank you. :P

I understand you have to head North on the 400 to get there, can anyone confirm this?

How far up the 400 is it to BPS :?:

It's gotta be worth a look :!: 8O

If you drive the 407 it's a couple of km's north. It even has it's own road into the mall call Bass Pro Way or (path). There's only one exit to the south bound 400 from the mall so don't miss and follow the signs. Grea  t shopping.
