Nice pic of the perch Chris, I was out there too at the other end drove by and seen you out there by yourself. We were sent up with the village of huts down where the Moira River exits out. We had 9-10" of good solid ice too. There's 6 huts out there and two more were coming out at dark as were getting off. Its literately a village of huts about 20' from shore in 6 FOW. We had followers but no biters, lots of small stuff in 14 FOW. Went out from 2-5:00.

Hey Chris. About your question on the 55 there a a few tricks for getting rid of that surface noise. First off when you set the transducer get it wet then take your hand and rub the bottom of it to release all the air bubbles. I find when they are new they still have a little paraffin wax on them and they trap a bit of air. Next what exactly is it you are seeing Noise Or Surface Clutter this thing will pick up every little bit of debre and air bubbles close to the surface. Play with your Gain, set it to were you just get a good mark on your jig then set your bottom zoom. Try to keep you transducer close to your hole, I see by your picture you have it in a separate hole but you are fishing close to the outside of the cone angle and this can cause you not to see fish coming in from the far side of your hole. I always keep my ducer in the hole i am fishing to get max coverage on my jig. Also a second hole can be a real pain when you get a fish on and he gets wrapped up in your ducer and you cant pull the fish up until you drop a bunch of transducer cord. If you keep it in the same hole your jigging you can just grab it and bring it and the fish in... Play with it and you will get it all figured out... Good luck on the ice bud...

Thanks for the update King. I am going to head out tomorrow and see what's biting. There is always that one idiot that feels the need to drive out before anyone else lol.

Do you have a flasher and if so did you mark many fish?

Never made it up there today. I hit 2 spots on the way and ended up staying local managed 25+ perch and 1 pike through the ice. Might try and make it to moira tomorrow.
