The hood story I know all too well, my father has done it not once but twice. The second time was a pretty amazing story. He walked over to me to ask if I had any tickets, I did not. As I lay under a canvas tarp looking for trout I hear him spud a hole. Shortly after the spud ding stops I can't help but to look. By the way it was about -20. Anyways after giggling at the site of grown man having a deuce I began angling under the canvas again. Several minutes later he came back to again ask me if I was certain I did not have any tickets. Again no was the reply. He then said and I quote, and am not making this up," f?!k that s/@t stinks, I can smell it all the way over here!" At this point I was going to tell him that I'd just seen some trout so I lifted the canvas and OMG it had frozen on contact to the side of his hood. He was standing with a dumb look on his face and 3 frozen chunks inches from it. Scouts honor.

I think i know what this guy is doing. This is an old Inuit fishing technique were they would loop there line around there nut sack. When a fish would tug they they would run like heck across the ice and yank the fish out of the hole. This technique was developed so that there hands would not get cold. It was hard for them to pass this technique on to there children as many of the men were castrated in the Arctic Char season.. Ha Ha Ha
