Service Ontario in Belleville is sending everyone to Stirling Home Hardware. We were there today and went to everyplace in Bell trying to get a licence for a buddy of mine and could not get one anywhere. CT said they were having Tech problem's so we would up stopping at a guys place and getting it online at the MNR website...

The lady at So Called Service Ontario told us to go there and said they had them. Try calling them first....You can also get it online at the MNR website using a credit card and it allows you to print out a Temporary so you can fish right away.

Sorry guys, We are not set up.

They are changing systems over. Apparently they are way behind getting service Ontario and Canadian tire set up. I hate going down town and waiting in line. We tell guys it best just to go to the MNR website and do it online or try the Madoc bait shop.

Good luck fishing, stay safe!

Ive been trying to get it for a few weeks. Works out perfect gotta take the kids to the dr's next door to the hardware store today. I been going to crappie tire in trenton daily and they keep telling me tomorrow. This new setup was not thought out very well at all.

I just renewed my Outdoors Card & 3 year Sport fishing licence at the Service Ontario site in Aylmer, Ont.
Not all Service Ontario sites are online with the new system yet. Call first to confirm.
It took her almost 15 mins to get it done. Not her fault about the time either as she spent most of the time waiting for the system to go to the next step.
I got 2 temporary paper tags(Outdoors Card & Fishing Tag) until my card comes in, reported to be 2 weeks.
Any tags not bought at the time of Outdoors Card purchase will not be a sticker for the back of the card but a separate paper tag required to be kept on you when needed.
If your only buying a yearly tag for your card on-line (credit card required) remember you will not get a tag but will end up having to carry a piece of paper from your computer printer all year.
Yearly tags bought at Service Ontario or I suspect other places with the new system set-up are wallet sized & lightly laminated.

I did mine online yesterday. Took a total of 4 minutes, printed the temperary card and put in a zip lock bag in my vex case... After having done it online for the first time this year i will never go somewhere specifically to do it again. Way easier and faster!
