Plan to go to quinte next week but only have a 14 footer with a 15 and would like to fish around Thompsons.

Are the boat launches in Hay Bay the closest? Is there a boat launch at Shermans point?

Thanks

The closest to Thompsons Pt is the Shermans Pt Launch. There is a launch ramp on the south shore close to the old church, but it's further to Thompsons than the one near Shermans Pt.

You should have no problem with your boat and motor unless the wind REALLY kicks up and then it would be good to be in the lee or else head for the hills.

Hope it works out

There is a public boat ramp on the 3rd Concession Road. It somewhat hard to find but if you can locate Staples Lane it is almost across the road and is between two houses. The ramp is OK but not as good as Hay Bay or Shermans Point. Thompson`s Point is at the end of the 3rd Concession

I am planning to come up to fish quinte early this week and am wondering about conditions of boat launches at Shermans and/or Green point.
What kind of grade do they have? Are they concrete or au naturelle? Should I bring salt(even though I do not like the idea)
Thanks in advance

Th ramp down to the water is not steep. It is gravel till you get to the cement slab at the waters edge.
Just beware usually first thing in the morning it is calm. The wind picks up in mid morning and can make landing and boat retreival difficult.
The dock was removed in October so you can be at the winds mercy...Larry
