I believe it was SuperDad who spoke of the new Gander Mountain store in Watertown a while back. Haven't been there but I was in one in Michigan this week and sort of got myself in a bit of trouble with the boss.

Now that the dollar is more reasonable if you know your prices it's a great place to shop. I picked up superbraid for almost half price with exchange and noticed that the Yellow Bird Planer Boards were only $11.99 US. All that saved the day was when the wife came to drag me out she found the clothing section and bought herself a new winter coat so I was off the hook.

I've shopped Bass Pro quite a bit in Nashville in the past and no one can beat BP's selection but I'm wondering with the drive through Toronto if us Quinte guys wouldn't be just as far ahead taking a wander over to Watertown.

They've opened a second store in Cicero NY, just north of Syracuse right off Rte 81. Was there on Monday and got a few things. Got a few more things in the Watertown store too. Good trip.

Before you go to BSP in Vaughn Mills - wait a week or two -it was insane - hey had to rent busses to run the excess parking at Wonderland back to the store. Good reports from some people invested heavily in their trip to BSP.
