Here's a proposal , A registration hut will be set up on the edge of the ice at WAGARS at 6:00 all combatents will stop and pick up a ticket for $20;00 that includes one chance for a draw prize , fishing will begin at 7:00 within the flagged boundary aprox, 1/4 a mile by 1/4 a mile , you can walk , run , ride or slide your way out and drill your holes but the honor system will be used, NO FISHING TILL 7:00am , the headquarters tent will be set up in the middle , that is where you will have to go to weigh your fish and that will be where the Battle Lunch will be at 12:00 , Draw tickets will be available at the main tent at a cost of $2:00 each , all money going to the Belleville Police fund for kids , final weigh in will be at 3:00 , that will give time to take pictures and anounce the draw prizes and allow people that want to be off the ice by dark time to walk off , A big fish pool will be available but you will have to buy into that in the morning when you register that will be a separate payout , any ties will be resolved by the flip of a coin ,If you arrive after 7:00am you will have to go to the main tent to register before you start to fish ,remember this is a get together to meet and talk to members of the board , the prizes are just to further that , The main goal is too support a good cause and give back to the Community , Any whinning like Hodgeys too fast or Shark has girls in his hut or Grizz is eating more than his share shall be ignored but greatly appreciated

Bill, that is perfect. The less rules the better for a fun event.

I have to agree with Al.......... it will be hard enough just getting set up........... we will follow the same scoring system as last year shark will post that system later today so everryone knows.
we are still trying to work out the lagistics of food so far many offers but havent committed or locked in so we need commitments remember there is more to it than bringing a pot of stew lol you need to keep it warm or hot, lol we are working on it as we speak.
ALSO the tent has become a huge issue any moose hunters out there with a tent ? we need to figure out a way to get it out and set up but as of right now we dont have a tent keep in mind we have no idea what mother nature will toss our way could be warm and sunny could be blistering cold with 50 k winds we just dont know so dont say you will bring something then beg off you will be letting people down this is not what we want or need this is time to mountin man up here and make a commitment you plan to keep

Wow no tent. Jeezzee, if it's 20 below and 20 mph winds the food will be a no go.
Add snow to the equation - unacceptable.

Last year it was tough enough with good weather and just the deep snow drifts.
We need a tent.

Al

The proposal by Bill fills the requirements for all involved, Nice decision! I'm good with that.

Has any one thought of seeing if Pat is available to participate? He could maybe say a few words on how the money is used, he could also be the weigh master!!!

Just a suggestion...Maybe renting a tent (if there's such a thing) Having all the competitors splitting the cost. Rental fees divided by 40 or 50 people wouldn't be that much, I'm guessing.

Just a thought if it comes down to no other option.
