Hey Brian,

hard to get guys to give out fishing locations.. you may want to think about hiring a guide.. the BOQ has flakey ice ocnditions at the best of times and this year especially.. So not only will guides keep you safe, they can put you on fish and help with the techiques etc that work on the Bay. I fish with the Quinte Ice Fishing Team, they have a logo above, but there are a number of good guys advertising on the site.. Good Luck! C5

appreciate it C5. Never having fished it, the first biggest challenge is finding access points.

Thanks for the info!
Cheers.

I agree with C5...I booked a guide for february this year just to learn where to fish and what works in the Bay. There are to many currents to trek out on mine own not knowing where they are. The cost is worth the experiance, nowledge and my safety alone.

Good Luck
Moose

good access is the key and its getting worse every year . there is about 10 access points in 70 miles of bay and of the 10... 6 have crappy ice thats just not safe 2 you risk getting a ticket and the others very limited parking so people just dont want to tell you where to go.......... a guide is a good choice but you could always get on google spend some time and have a look up and down and all around the bay. find roads take chances read this board no one wants to post ice conditions they are unpredictable but tthere is fishing if you know where to go or have private access to safe areas.......... not trying to be rude here just telling you how it is even local people have a hard tome getting on the ice expessally now . good luck happy fishing

Local land owners charge a small parking fee some places $5
one on Big Island, and another on county road 3 (both have a small sign up) maybe not the most ideal access points to your favorite spot but you`ll be on the ice
