Hi all...well I was down to the bay for 4 days of fishing and did pretty good over all, never got skunked on any of the days, fished from the 11th to the 14th and biggest fish was 11.8. I was surprised at the size of these fish and was really surprised at how little they fought. I am use to salmon and trout and thought they would have given a better fight, I still had a great time and will continue to make this a fall trip every year. People were very friendly and quick to give tips....Thanks to all that shared info, and just to let all know... everything caught went right back in so next year it will be easier for some one to catch that elusive 15 pounder. Good luck to all.

Hey Reef Runner, welcome aboard!

Good to hear you had a successful trip! Yes they're big, but the fight in them is a little lacking as you say. Still a lot of fun though since there's always the chance of catching something odd like a King :!:  Or fighting one of the local Sheepshead :!: 8O
