I have looked on the MNR website and can not find the number of rods/tip ups you can use on Quinte. I'm coming up next weekend and was trying to find out. While jigging can I run a deadstick rod next to me in the tent? Can I run one tip up just outside the tent?

2 rods in the Quinte area, second must be within 30 metres I believe.

ICE FISHING
Two lines may be used for ice fishing except in a limited number of waters (see the exceptions for the Zone in which you are fishing). You must be within 60 m (197 ft.) at all times of any line or tip-up you are using when ice fishing and you must have a clear and unobstructed view of the lines being used at all times. Any spring-loaded device which sets the hook for an angler may not be possessed within 30 m (98 ft.) of any waters.

Thank you so much Fry Flier. I read that but was not sure if there were special regs on Quinte.

Only rods that use a spring to set the hook. Like a spring gaff. Tip ups are still allowed.
