Made it out for the 1st time this season with my wife and was out on the ice by 2 pm looking for the perch 1st, didn't do so

hot with them managed a few smaller ones and then decided we had better shift our focus to the eyes, got into them and was

marking a lot hugging bottom but just didn't figure out exactly what they wanted, mr champs green and acme kastmaster gold

perch got us our bigger ones.

Nice fish but FYI

It is illegal to use yellow perch as bait anywhere in Ontario

I trust that is not what you meant :?

^^^^^^exactly^^^^

as soon as i got mine on the green, we switched my wife's spoon and she got hers and since we mentioned the " acme"

kastmaster let me tell u our Wile E Coyote story of what can go wrong why the bite is on, my wife has a great fight with her

eye' , unlike mine that stayed down for a sec and gave up, pulling drag, trying to rub off the line on the side of the hole, not

coming into the hole thrashing the whole time, finally it's in the hole thrashing so i 2 hand it and it tries to pull the football

fumble on me but i'm not letting it get away plus i have my foot over the hole, spits the hook i hear " it bite me" and i look

and say "no hooks in your snow pants." she can't get it out, get the needle nose, ends up breaking a tine..... why now?

not sure about ice conditions anywhere except walking distance from the parking at the farm 10"- 12" but i didn't measure

but i did see atv's on saturday

I believe the stipulation is "live" yellow perch. You can use yellow perch if they are not alive. Not trying to stick my nose where it doesnt belong, just thought I would clarify for anyone reading

Don't think you can use any game fish as bait dead or alive .....Image
