I went out for a last ditch goose hunt tonight. I got there later than I wanted as Fatherly duties called during the day and the geese were already in the field by the time I got there. I decided to take a walk around and found this 12 point shed almost side by side along the edge of the cornfield.

I found it harder than I thought to get a good picture, but they don't seem to do it justice. The longest tine is 13 3/4" and the base measures an even 6" in diameter. He has a sticker on each of his G3 tines. I roughly scored it as a shed and it came out to 162 1/2". Gussing it would have had about a 27" spread, that would have put him in and around 190 gross scored.

Not a bad way to end the goose season...

That is a nice set!! It's hard to see mass in a pic, and that set has lots of mass!! Did you find them side by side? I have found a couple sets that way.

Don't worry....the pics do it justice. That's as nice a deer you'll find anywhere in North America, Saskatchewan included.

Just can't get over the mass....WOW!

Great find

I'm 5'-10" and normal sized hands lol. I looked up the way they score sheds and if I read it right, they only take away the length of the abnormal points so I subtracted the two sticker points off the G3 to come up with 162 1/2" The biggest difference in lengths is the G3, other than that, they are pretty close, but he is left side heavy. His 6" circumference is actually between the G2 and G3.

I do hunt in that area and found a few of 4-6" diameter trees rubbed heavy this year. No doubt he had something to do with that. And yeah, I'm hoping to see him at 20 yards broadside with my bow this fall.
