Eyes are Us (Crabby),

What is your problem? Why are you so instigative with me? Did I offend you in some way? If I did, I would love to know how so that I can fix it.

First of all, Markus stated that I was the one who had emailed Targa2, and he was incorrect. I was simply suggesting him to not accuse people of things when he is not certain.

Second of all, most of the boaters fishing the BOQ this time of year wear floater suits. I thought I might raise an awareness to those with older suits to look at their effectiveness, just in case they are approached by the OPP while on the water. The OPP will often focus on PFD's to ensure safety. Why get a ticket when it can be avoided? Apparently you have a problem with this (???).

Finally, what is up with the livewell bit? Why would you like for me to so desperately inspect it?

Mike,

I am glad that you had a successful trip, but I do have one burning question: Realizing that this is an information forum, why do you feel the need to tell the world about your exact location, lures used, depth fished, etc??? Is this the first time that you have ever caught that many walleye, and felt the need to gloat, or are you insecure and need to read positive remarks from complete strangers on this board? Telling some our your close friends is understandable, but let those who are 'new' to the BOQ go through the learning curve as many of us others did. This is a valuable resource that we share, and should not be raped. Some advice: finish your next fishing trip early, wait at the Picton launch for other boats to return and then inspect their live wells to see how many fish are being kept. Great job Mike. You are the Best. Congratulations at protecting this resource.

Captain Hank

Tough to kid a kidder I guess.

Ranger Guy, I have been stopped in the past with the lifejacket on underneath my parka, nothing was said.

The pfd should fit so that a person can haul you out of the water without pulling it off you, the same goes for the age of your pfd, test it when the water's warm and give it a tug now and then. Practice a man overboard and find out how hard it is to get someone in your boat.

And never haul in the mob by the pfd

O.K. Bear I'll go along with the game. I'll join "the crowd" for a change. In the SPIRIT of SHARING INFO: next time you are at the Bay and you catch a fish, I mean the first one you get ,I expect a full report including GPS co-ordinates over the vhs radio.IMMEDIATELY .That way everyone can share in your success even sooner. Why wait till you get home, ACT NOW.I also expect no less from all of your vast following of supporters so we can all be one big happy family. Remember,it's all for the greater good that we SHARE and what better way to share then to do it so expediently. This way the opportunity to benefit from your incredible success will still be fresh like a Mcdonalds burger. Drive through fishing at it's finest, served up hot off the grill at B.O.Q. Post your report on Ch 68 . I don't really care cause I won't be joining the crowd that ensues after this report. I like to find my own fish. I know it's a little unconventional but it just gives me a warm fuzzy feeling to do things my own way. O.K. I'm done ,put your head down again and continue GRAZING!

To Big-o. I think it was Shakespeare who stated "many a truth was said in jest". Likewise many an accusation is diguised as a question. If you weren't intending to direct the question as an accusation in disguise you would have made it more general and skipped the reference to unhappiness. My post was about the law. Do you have anything to contribute to that area or not?
To furious. You probably violate 17 of the 60,000,000 laws of Canada every day without realizing it. Would you feel like a better Canadian if you got a fine every time.I would be the first to defend you if you did.Anyone can "parrot" the rest of programmed society as a defence. Please add something original. I was simply hoping some other people on this board could SEE what is REALLY going on in the world but apparenlty nobody does. Sorry I asked. There is a term in psychology called "social proof". It's when people are looking around to see what everybody else is doing or saying as justification for their actions. In order to start a dialog on a subject one is often better to be provocative. It gets attention.

Hey Guys,

I have been watching and reading what I loosely call discussion on the board. I have a favor to ask of you all. You see anyone who is complaining about too much sharing going on should direct their critism at me as I am the one who put this board up. This board is intended to share information. This board is a community pot.
The concept of a community pot is this. I know a mechanic who is a buddy. Another buddy of mine is an electrician, yet another is a teacher, an accountant and so on. Each have skills. I have various skills. I used to install pools and I do websites on the side. Some of my buddies have pools. When I have an electrical problem I call my electrician buddy. When he has a problem with his pool he calls me. My son may be having problems with his homework so I call my buddy the teacher. Sometimes a buddy calls who needs my help but has no direct skills to offer. I help anyway. Once in a while someone moves and then everybody jumps in to help. Once in a while I tackle the small electricial problem by myself then call my buddy to tell him and he says "Way to go". I then rib him that he charges way too much and he's a crook. We all laugh. Collectively we all give and take from the community pot.

If I jab at the guys when I need help and they jab at me when I ask them then pretty soon no one calls anyone and we all lose the community pot. Dont get me wrong. Sometimes my buddies and I have misunderstandings or disagree on stuff but in the end we work it out.

My favor to ask is this. Please use this board in the spirit of a community pot. Thanks
Dan

Dan you are absolutely right. We don't need a repeat of the arguing and infighting of a few years ago.

I will not beat a dead horse, however, you don't need to defend me
targa 2. If I get fined for a stupid reason, I know I would bitch about it same as anyone else, but I wouldn't ridicule the C.O.'s or Police for doing their jobs.

I am not critisizing them directly although it may sound like it. I am criticising the system BEHIND the scenes of what they do. The legal system and the court system that they work for is corrupt to the core. It's a giant funding stream in a lot of cases and serves no societal benefit. Go into a courtroom sometime and ask yourself"why is there a gold fringe around the Canadian flag". This is not decoration as they will lie to us and tell us. This denotes a Maritime jurisdiction. In other words our courts are an International commercial arena. Why ,one would ask, are our courts international in nature. Good question.... "Buckle your seatbelt Dorothy cause Kansas is going bye bye" ANSWER cause you ain't really in Canada when you go in there especially after you cross "the bar". Do the Cops and CO's know this. No way!!! I did meet one cop in my travels who knows it and it makes him sick too. I believe this is THE SUBJECT all Canadians should talk about. I am a member of this board so I though I PROVOKE a dialog about it. When you have studied this subject as much as I have you see it for what it is when it operates in the real world.

Hey Guys,

I looked up the rules for PFD's On www.BoaterExam.com and it says this about PFD's

One Government of Canada (Department of Transport) approved personal flotation device (PFD) or a life jacket for small vessels of appropriate size for each person on board

It doesn't say you need to wear them. Of course this time of year it would be risky not to wear one. BUT If you choose not can they fine you?

I suppose they could force you to put them on to make sure they fit tho. I am most definitly investing in a good floatation suit for next fall. It's to awkward to wear them under you winter clothes.
