Went out yesterday with one of Sunrise Cottage Resort's guides for a pre-fish. Wanted to have the lines in the water by noon(according to the moon phase bite times), but maintanence took longer than expected. We went to Westpoint and set our lines in 12' of water and had a nice 8 pounder on the line at 1:30. Orange and black spoon. That was it until 3:30, so we decided to troll out to 35' of water and set the downrigger at 25' with a gold and orange little cleo-10 minutes later a nice 6.5 pounder. Was getting late so trolled back to Wellington to check if anything in front of the dunes and experiment with a variety of stick baits and to find warm water. Didn't catch anything else- but a gorgeous day on the water. Guy( Supergyde) is going back out for the noon bite today. Will keep you posted.

Thanks Dave for your report and the pictures - always interested in what's being caught.

Well done! Looks like we fished the same area yesterday, but I was not as lucky in the early mourning, I did mark a nice school of fish in that area. I noticed the commercial fisherman in that area, he seemed to pull up 2 nets but I never saw buoys?
