Dropped by the Napanee River at SpringSide park to have a look at the river and see if there were any walleyes there.

The river is really LOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and we couldn't see any sign of a walleye, although the sea gulls were feeding on some small fish as the river turned round the corner(if you know the area).

Doesn't look good, perhaps the spawn is done...............

By the way, SpringSide Fries is open at the Cdn Tire..... Still excellent fare.

The water in Hay Bay is up approx 10 inches ( rough guess ).

Three weeks til opener.

I have understood that water levels are low. I just had a fellow local, send me a photo of a rainbow caught in another local stream/river. Likley a stray but this is the second I have been informed about....separate bodys of water to boot (first was about 2 weeks ago and the other was caught on Saturday morning). Rough sounding stuff for the walleye spawn though....

Last week I was in trenton and boy you sure could smell the walleye in the air. I think the spawn is probably all but done by now.

Lots of eggs on the bank in Trenton from the loosers spearing all the spawners. Lots of brains in those folks
