Hi LArry,
It depends when are you planning to come? For the opening weekend most places are sold out. You will have to call around to see whats left. Many of the folks on the water for opening weekend will be trying to catch big fish for the kiwanis derby and will focus their efforts in Long Reach all the way out to Aldophus reach and Lake Ontario proper. If you dont care about size but just want to get some eaters then throw on some bottom bouncers anywhere from Big Bay, Telegraph Narrows, Long Reach and Hay Bay.

Most cottage/trailer rentals usually need to be booked sometimes a year in advance for opener. If you're not entering the Kiwanis derby, or don't mind waiting a week, it would probably be alot easier to find lodging the following weekend, or during the week, and alot less people on the water.

The following weekeng is busy as well. I have been on the hunt for the last week or so to find a place to stay only to find all sold out! All the owners say that May is their busiest month!
