how many fish did you get shallow john???? maybe shallow would be better but we got 11 fish we lost 4 and a few bites that didnt get hooked o and my buddy caught one a rusty old frog coloured canadian wiggler, i couldnt believe it! he always has some primitive trick up his sleave but he got nothing as expected after that, i will post the pictures as soon as i scan them, even though i was marking fish inthe twelve foot range i could not get a bite but i marked nothing near the bottom but thats where i was getting all the fish

I spoke to one of our councillors about you guys salting the ramp, with some luck the ramp will be closed or someone from MOE will be there.

Don't want to atart an aarguement but doesn't your PUC use sand and salt on the roads and where do the storm drains empty?

There is a strict code to the use of salt, there has to be enough traffic to justify its use and what % off the mix is salt. The 100lb a day that goes in the boat ramp could be streached over miles. A bag or 2 in the morning and again to haul out adds up.

for your info a large mall can use 100 tons of salt in one season
if the weather is crap thats about 3 4 axle dump trailer loads
and after all ithink if a suv ended up in the water the oil or gas that leaked would be worse would it not??

A sand salt mixture is best anyway! More sand than salt but, you will need some on bad days.
