For you Salmon guys considering a trip to the south shore...... I managed to get down to Niagara on Sunday Aft, and there are a ton of fish around. Launched out of Queenston and ran out past the bar about 2pm straight out to the drop. Had our first fish before we got our third rod down. A spunky little 10# chinny on a mixed veggies michigan stinger down 50. Then things went silent for a while so we slid out deeper to 160 and changed up our spread. Within minutes we had a double going with 15# & 20# kings. One on a lemon ice colored big ern down 90 and the other on a green pro-troll/hammer fly back 180 on wire. Landed another around 15# on a white protroll/bfly back 220 on wire about 20 min later. Things went silent again for a while, then around 7:15 pm we sent a magnum white/glow lyman down 130 and within minutes a beauty 25# springer was off to oswego. Not the huge numbers many a reporting but some quality fish and only a 4 rod spread. Missed a couple of other good rips on the wire but all things considered, a pretty good day and managed to get a relative newbie into some decent fish.Pics are on his phone as my camera **** the bed. I'll post when he sends them to me.

Fantastic!

I knew the huge schools of fish were down there, but I stubbornly stuck around my North West corner of the lake.

A massive number (25+) of lakers were caught, ranging from 10lbs to 22lbs...and one beauty brown...but still no kings up here.

But man are they down there right now!

Normally I wouldn't drive so far to fish lake O but I needed my King fix steve. Even so, 25+ lakers is a fun day. Did you break the 20# mark again with that brown?

Nice day man, fished the KOTL last weekend and everything big and plentiful came from that area.

merkin, the brown was a beauty north shore brown, but beauty as in colours, not size - although the size was respectable.

i have a MUCH harder time getting big browns on the north shore. the south shore has all the big girls!
