On bright sunny days which do you guys prefer, gold or silver?
I was always under the impression that silver worked best on dull days and gold on bright sunny days.
Seems some would argue.
What's your take?
Thanks in advance, Drew.

i'm more of a "colour of water" guy.

if I have colour in the water, ie, green to brown, I go with gold/copper.

if I'm in clear water, the classic blue water, I often go with silver back....

but there are times when the above turns opposite!

The last few years on Erie copper/gold backed spoons have far outproduced silver no matter the sun light levels.

CanWoodsman, for Erie, there is no substitute for gold / copper backed.

I can't remember I ran a spoon on Erie that didn't have that backing ... regardless of the sun!

You are 100% correct on that one!
