Hey there, I've been wanting to come up and try Quinte for some eye's, but have never been in the area, I usually fish lake Erie. Was just wondering some basic techniques on fishing this body of water, a good marina to launch the boat, and any other helpful information that will aid to a successful day on the water.
Thanks a lot!!

Welcome aboard Tpett,

As the the spring progresses and turns to summer many of the folks I know run harnesses/spinners, drift jig and troll with boards running cranks( cc shad, TD9, Shad Raps, HJerks to name a few). As the weed beds come in some of the guys will toss cranks to the edges and rip jig plastics. There is a decent ramp in the town of Deseronto at the waterfront park. If you wanted to launch from Picton there is a public launch at the harbour. Belleville has the best facilities at their George St launch and most of the resorts have private launches.
good luck and let us know how you make out

Tpett maybeyou can tell us what area you will be coming from and better point you to a good launch. Those are all excellents techniques that Dan has pointed you towards.

Thanks for the replies. I meant to mention I would be coming from the Brantford area. Those techniques were exactly what I was looking for. Im hoping to get up there within the next couple weeks and will put out a report on how we did.
Thanks again
