On Hay Bay fishing for pike on Mothers day with the family when the 11 year old says something has inhaled his 3" Red Devil spoon....
Biggest crappie I have come across in a long time. Had a mouth on it like a smallie... Best part was his grade six teacher gave him grief for using the word Crappie in school on Monday ---- but he had the last laugh when he promptly looked it up on Google and got the apology from the teacher he deserved :D...

As for the rest of the day.... a lot of fun hammer-handle pike for the kids and no walleye in our boat or for anyone around us.

H2O

Nice fish! For the Pike try some bigger spoons closer to 5" for bigger pike. I have been doing well with the Devils, red on Yellow 5 of diamonds and Lucky Strike 'popeye' spoon.

Cheers
