Quinte Fishing

Hi Everyone,

I'll be fishing out of Hay Bay June 23rd weekend for the first time. It'll be our annual guys family fishing tournament weekend. It's friendly competition is for the biggest fish, but mostly just an excuse to take off for the weekend Every year we go to a different place and this year I chose Hay Bay. We'll be fishing for walleye, pike and bass and staying at Blakewood Lodge. I've read a lot of post for fishing for walleye in the area. Just wondering if there's some other spots to target pike and bass in the bay. Has anyone had much luck catching large pike or bass in this area?

By the way, I love this site. I wish there was a site like this for the lower French River where I normally fish.

East end of Hay Bay is great for pike (mostly smaller but have caught some decent size ones as well) and hard to find a better spot to catch lots of Large mouth. Lots of grass beds, lily pads, weed beds and cattails. If you want larger pike, target bays near Picton ferry with deeper weed beds.

Thanks for the tip! I'm still getting familar with the area. Is Picton Ferry in Picton Bay?
