Just a reminder that fishing licences expire at year end. If you need to purchase the 3 year Outdoors card, do it soon because it takes approximately 2-3 weeks for delivery, and it is illegal to fish without the card (even though you have already paid and may have a receipt). Internet and phone are quickest; the mail route is the slowest.

If you dont want a 3 year just go to your local CT store and get a one year licence and card. It will be sent in the mail but you will have paper licence till your comes in so you can fish from jan 1 till when ever it comes in

Just to let you guys know,

I ordered a new card on-line in mid November. The expected
time to receive a card this method was 2 weeks. I still haven't
received a card yet. I called today to see if the card was sent
yet. Apparently, there is a holdup because of the end of the
year demand. I was told I should receive a card this week along
with many many others.

I do wonder if they would have a case against you if you fished
with the receipt you receive when you order? They do promise
2-3 weeks. If they go into 5-6 weeks I think they should honour
the receipt since your intent was to legally obtain a licience. It's
not the same as driving without a licence, or is it?

hey i ordered my card about 2 weeks ago and have just recieved it. I also had a question about it. I paid around $75 or something. Now is that card good for the whole three years or do i have to buy other tags every year.... cause it has spots for these tags.... just wondering what the purpose of having spots for these tags is if the card expires in 3 years....????

hopd i didn't confuse anyone...lol

Your good fishingguy28,

covered for 3 years!

I ordered the same one a few weeks ago....

Still waiting :!:

The spots are the same on all the cards and are sent even to those who buy for a year. They apply the stickers, if and when they renew the following year! We won't have to do that now, as we bought the 3 year.

They will honour your card if you do have a receipt showing that you've ordered a new card and you are just awaiting its arrival. No different than waiting for your new drivers license.

If they don't, then we should change the name of our country from Canada to Krussia.

I ordered mine on the 19th of Nov. on line, and just got it on Dec.13th.Not bad,I'm ready for hard water. The extra spots I THINK are for hunting eg. small game sticker.

I always get mine from the kiosk in the mall. it prints a receit for you on the spot. I think its one dollar service charge but only takes a minute and can go any time.

Hey

I got mine last week. It has a cool pair of turkeys on the front.
Too bad my birthday is coming up. Between the 3 year small game/ fishing and my plates and drivers license I will be broke for a month....lucky birthday boy!

I had to call them and make a change of street addresses and gave them the CC # on the 1st of Dec. Received the new cards yesterday-14th.

All set to go for the next three years and it will be my LAST one I buy.

happy poloc,

actually they are not required to honour your receipt - if you cannot produce your card then you are technically breaking the law by fishing before you are eligible. When you call 1 (800) 288-1155 to renew your outdoords card, the pre-recorded message states (quote) ..."you cannot fish or hunt until you receive your plastic outdoors card"...
