The Ayr Sportsman enjoyed another great fishing weekend at the Bay of Quinte. For the 26th year 31 of us stayed at Sunset Farms on Big Bay. They truely are great people who provide the hospitality, accomodations, docking and fish cleaning facilities to make the stay truley relaxing. Despite the wet and windy weather on the Friday, the weekend fishing turned out to be excellent. True to previous reports on this great web site, bottom bouncers and chartruese single bladed worm harnesses proved to be the best producers when trolling or drifting slowly. Although we didn't get any of the late fall or early spring monsters, everyone was able to enjoy the bite of lots of quality walleye. The rods were also kept active with a variety of other fish including some nice perch, lots of sheephead, and even large channel cats. Can't wait until our next family trip in July.

Thanks BigGene. Quinte is really a world class fishery. I took my grandson this year, and he is hooked on getting back for another tip soon.
