The walleye bite has been really slow on West Lake for us and wondering where to go if we load up the Crestliner and launch somewhere on BOQ. We can't let Grandpa down on his request for walleye fillets for Father's Day...

Wondering about Hay Bay or Adolphus Reach areas...thanks guys!

Just got back yesterday. Fished Thursday and Friday AM and we caught fish at Shermans, the red barn, Bouy 42 and mowhawk bay The key is 12-14 FOW along weed lines. Used bottom bouncers and worm harnesses. We got about 30. Ate 6 took home a couple each and released the rest, some 15-16 inchers for next time.
Good Luck

Thanks Perch Guy, really appreciated your response to my email. My son was having so much fun at Sandbanks yesterday, I didn't have the heart to pull him away to trek up to Ferry and across, so we just continued plying away on the lake. I think the walleye bit was slow more due to the weather conditions than the fish having gon AWOL anyways. Things had slowed down for most guys after the walleye when the wind turned on Thursday. We'll get 'em next time...

Still having some great luck out around Belleville and Big Bay areas. Was out the last 2 days and picked up 12 walleye, kept 2 on the first day. Yesterday was a bit slow but the last few weeks have been excellent fishing. I think most are fishing too deep, GPS positioning seems key for me, and haven't used live bait all year. Catching a few trolling but the majority casting.
