We got lines in this morning about 7am. Pulling out the first line (A 300 Copper) I got a hit 30ft behind the boat! It didn't hookup but it was a hit none the less. I just got that line in / board out and started on the second when the first fish came. We ended up 7 / 10.

6 of the 7 fish came off a Blueberry Muffin on the 300 copper. The other fish caught came off a Michael Jackson on the 450. (I let my buddy reel that one in) Of the 3 lost 1 was small one was probably ok. But 1 was a real fighter. I fought that fish for 15 minutes before loosing it. I'm not sure how it did it but it got the fly tangled in the flasher and mangled the Torpedo snap swivel (which still held!) The fly leader broke with what looked like teeth marks on it. That was my favorite dang fly too. White behind a white SD has been the winner for big Salmon for me by far. Most of the fish were 5-10lbs. With a 15.5 and a 24 lb King being the biggest. That guy ran with my board underwater for quite a while. We ended up pulling the other lines (we were done anyways as it was getting pretty lumpy for my 18ft boat) and turning the boat off while I fought it. I was running out of backer. With the board down it just kept pulling line. I'm sure there is a trick to help with this but I lost another fish the same way. The board when down then after we fought for a while the board popped up and the fish was gone.

Here's a couple release shots. Too bad about the finger over the lens... It took at least 15 mins to revive the 24 pounder.

Nice day dude. Looks like the fleas are hot and heavy down there too judging by your wire dipsey.

Thanks guys. Yes the fleas were thick. It wasn't too much of a problem as we were running copper and wire.
