The problem with Canadian politics is the PM thinks everybody works for him and it should be he works for everybody.

Here seems like the most logical cuts to take place before adding "User Fees" to our waterway system.

Rick Norlock M.P.- Currently collects and Ontario pension from the OPP.

Tax payers have contributed $1,989,344.00 into his personal pension fund in the 7 years he has worked as a MP. That's $248,668.00 per year compared to his base salary as an MP of $157,000.00 per year.

Time to start cutting the fat off the top before we look at ANY new "revenue schemes" that will affect our children and grandchildren for decades to come.

If you are interested in this topic, please take the time to voice your concerns.

"Mayor John Williams is asking for some feedback on issues surrounding the Trent-Severn Waterway.
An online survey has been launched to collect information and opinions about the future of the waterway.
“There are discussions underway right now on the Future of the Trent Severn Waterway. It would not be good for our community if they implemented a shorter season or closed for certain days,” said Quinte West Chamber of Commerce manager Suzanne Andrews in a statement.
The eight-question survey can be found here: http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/V8GJNGT
Any other comments can be forwarded to the chamber office through email at info@quintewestchamber.on.ca"

Thanks,
Randy

Just remember Guys,
Those people that live on the river already pay higher taxes than every one else. if our gov. didn't wast so much money on useless studies and commitees there would be enough.

Thanks for sending that along Randy. I must admit I had fun filling that one in.

I think they will get the idea I'm not up for paying a user fee. What would be next, a user fee on crown land?

I'm heading to Bon Echo provincial park for the week and paying $45\night. I don't mind that one bit. For that, I get maintained roads, a boat launch, place to tie up my boat, kids programs at night, maintained beach, washrooms, showers etc.

I just spent the evening down at the Trent River with my little guys fishing and wading around in the water with them. There was nothing except us and a few other people simply enjoying this river in our beautiful, free country. I'm all for keeping that part of it as much as possible.

Dave

Billions upon Billions have and continue to be stolen from Canadians every year with nothing to show for it other than an insurmountable debt that will eventually crush us. Politicians are not the ones void of common sense, we are, for taking it in the hoop time and time again and doing almost nothing about it. Ask yourself what you would do if millions of sheep like citizens just gave up the kitty as easily as we with nothing more than a great ole polite Canadian moan.

In other words, I am not in favor of user fees for the Trent and neither should any one else.

I sometimes look at the Otonobee River when driving into Peterborough is this going to cost me? On my pension I will have to blindfold the grandkids.
