Was out last week and happened upon my personal best Quinte Largemouth. The bass fishing has been stellar for me as I have been getting a 4 plus pounder almost everytime out. In my right hand is a 5.14lber and in my left hand is a 4.7lber. The picture does not indicate where I caught or released them as I simply put them in the livewell and went somewhere calmer so the wife could take the photo. Then I took them back and released them.
I firmly believe in the years to come you may see a record come from quinte with the amount of forage they have to choose from.

I have caught 2 roughly the same size out of Rice, but that is the biggest I have landed on Quinte so far!
Good luck to all!!!!
Teppy

Teppy ,
A 5 pound 14 ounce large mouth bass is huge on any body of water . I have fished with you for years , and you always seem to find a "lunker" . Pretty soon your going to start charging me guiding fees lol . Congrats buddy on two great fish :D

Cheers , Ed

Beauty Quinte largie!

Never seen or heard of a 6lbs largie coming out of quinte...outside of 'stories'. good to hear they are bigger (assuming the one mentioned above was a largie).

I believe 5.14 would indicate 5lbs 2(1/4) ounces.

The digi scale I got weighs to .15 and then to the next pound, 16 ounces in a pound.

I'm just going by standard math Teppy.

My digi scale (berkley TEC) shows it in pounds and ounces.

My other digi scale shows in decimals, like you have posted above. The one in decimals goes .01 to .99, then to the next whole number. In theory you could have a fish weigh 5.89 or 5.96, which if going by ounces would obviously be impossible. When I read 5.14, that's how I read the reading.

No matter how it is looked at, those are two awesome fish for anywhere! And any 7lbs plus largie is a king in my books!

Great stuff!!!!!

Here is an 8 pounder I caught years ago on a lake north of Kingston. My biggest from Quinte is probably around 4.5 but I know the big ones are in there....
