He was the best of Tournament Directors out there period. As a member of the QFS organizing committee Pete would ask us for input on decisions that needed to be made. At times it could be entry fees, rule changes or whatever it was, he would always remind us that most of the teams wont make the stage, and that those teams are the roots of this series and that they were the most important ones out there. On every decision he always thought of them first. After every tournament when the cheques were handed out and guys were starting to leave he would always head out to the parking lot and find the team that won and personally congratulate them. Even this year I watched him at the walleye event do this. He always knew the names of every competitor as they crossed the weigh scales. He knew every detail in his head large or small. There is so much to say about him it is truly a great loss.
