Hay bay is an under used resource , a few get caught ever year as incidental catches  , not to many guys target them , The Bay Bridge area has produced several nice fish mid 40's , posted on here a while back and any where in Adoulphus reach out through to the shoals at the gap , if you find schools of cisco the big girls won't be far away ,the mouth of the Moira or Napanee river are other good spots to try :D

As per Trophy Hunters reply, muskellunge catches on the "Bay" are generally incidental and not "hunted" by those targeting that species. I'm presuming you are not local.
I firmly believe that we have the best "lunge" fishing in the provice here withjin a 30 min. drive.
Stocco Lake, Upper Moiria River (at Plainfield launch)Moiria Lake and the waters of the Trent above #2 dam would be your best desinations. Check out this board and see some pretty cool pics of Kayaking for musky. Good Luck!
Bruce.

I have to agree with bruce if you target these fish in these areas your chances are greatly increased instead of the bay and there are some dandy's good luck

Thanks for the replies. I will be staying near Hay bay for a week late this month. I was hoping to give the muskies a shot without trailering. I have fished several times on the Trent with great success. Crowe lake as well. I fully agree the best muskie fishing on the planet is in those regions! Whats my closet option from the ferry ?

launch at the ferry, and work the north side of the reach between the ferry and adolphustown.

then cut across and work the entire area around the south side of keiths shoal.

continue working the southside off the break infront of the batcave.

once finished there, head back to the north shore, east of the lighthouse, and work the shoreline until the old pump house.

we have done this, only caught pike, but the intention was muskie....big smallies out there as well!

Steve has hit the nail on the head :D , The pattern of working the inside turns and slack areas of those shoals will pay off if you have the patience , Try big cranks , 14" grandma's in a perch pattern around 4.3 to 5.0 mph , Big long flats are another good spot late in the evening ,The weedline along the park at Adolphous reach produces a couple of big girls every year , just remember to limit the time out of water and practice C P R :D
