My friend told me he went out at Mier Pier this morning and got 8 eyes and some crappie, I feel it unbelievable because it is not safe to walk out yet, but I know someone is out for ice fishing in Bellieve already, I am going tommorrow and will post the outcome. Thanks!

I KNOW there are a LOT of people who waiting for the first ice reports, there are reports of people fishing the Ottawa River already and some other lakes that I read on other sites.

We have been on certain Bays on the Ottawa river for three weeks now....but small bays...the middle is still open...this wekend there was 10 inches of ice....4 of White ice :x and 6 of Black ice :D ....no problems now :D looking forward to ice fishing reports from down your area, i might even try to Ice fish down there :D Ken....you want to guide for a day????

Thanks for your reply, I don't know whether is safe right now in Belleville area so I don't know I should give it a try or not. Have you heard any latest report yet?

No ....but I'm real intrested in any reports about black Crappie....my favorite fish, to catch and eat, i've never caught one in Quinte would love to find a few :D :D :D :D , not realy intrested in Walleye thru the ice, I think the moratly rate would be to high.... :(

A bunch of us fished on the West side of the Belleville Bridge on yesterday afternoon, we were off the bridge maybe 150m and there was a solid 6" the whole way across. Ice was good, fishing was not, 5 of us never got bit. Lots of guys were on the east side of the bridge as well.

Oh well, still nice to be out.

With warmer weather coming I would be carefull out there, could thin out pretty quick.

Thanks for the information, is that the Bellevielle bridge you are talking about is the bridge near Bayside bridge road, how about Mier pier, can we ice fishing there?
