Hey Gang! Well we got on the water about 14:00. Since there was a boat off Thompson's Point already we thought we'd work the bay. I just wish we would have left a half hour later, we were waiting for PINGI's post!!!!! Ha! Anyway, we worked right up to the cement plant as well as the other side (Merland's). Then we really concentrated on the outer part of the mouth of the bay with absolutely no luck. Tried different things, jigging, RFT's, Wally Divers etc. Fished until 21:00.
There certainly were alot of shad in the bay about 20:00. One thing we noticed we weren't marking any BIGGER fish so we weren't totally surprised. Save yourself a trip folks if you're coming any distance unless you want to work the thompson's or Sherman Point areas. We also taked to numerous other boats who worked those areas and they weren't having any luck at all either.
Good thing we left when we did, started raining while we were on hwy 49 so i imagine the folks still out there got nailed. Then 20 minutes from Ottawa, wild wind and snow.
Anyway if anyone gets out within the next week and things change, PLEEEEEEASE! post news for us out of towners! Thanks folks! ....Fish On!.
