windguru and windfinder are a couple of good places to look. If you go on windguru, at the top of the screen where it says "spot" click on it, and you will scroll through and find "Lake Ontario/Sandbanks." Click again, and all the wind info will be displayed.

Hope this helps!!

Go to environment Canada, marine info. You can click on the buoy for Point Petre, and others to get up to date wave and wind information.

I have a new 16" lund and started fishing salmon this year on Lake O. I watch the winds on a few different sites (windguru, windfinder, weathernetwork, bouyweather) and have found that windfinder is one of the more accurate sites. What I learned quickly is that the wind forecast may be favorable but if there have been south or west winds expect large swells.

Good fishing!

A long run to the Bonnett from Trenton, especially with the uncertantity if the kings are still there and no one posting We, along with 2 other boats had a good day off Wicklow with an array of kings, cohoe and 'bows in abundance 2 weeks ago. Been a landlubber since then that has left me out of the loop. What you may find interesting, is that 5 years ago in late Sept. was stream fishing in tha Valley, south of Hwy 2, and came upon 3 pools that were holding cohoe. Not aware of any stocking in that area I was somewhat amazed, if not perplexed, that they were there in that abundance. While they were very spooked. we did manage to hook up with 2 after changing from roe to orange Panther Martins. Would they still be out on the big lake now in the pre-staging mode or was that just a fluke occasion? I think the Wicklow, Valley and Hortops area are under utilized later in the late summer/fall. Maybe worth a shot if you are trailer-able. Then again the true riches of fishing is not in the catch, but in the quest. Good luck and keep us posted. Bruce

I haven't heard any reports either. I doubt they are there though. I'm going to Port hope the next good weather day!

I doubt that a trip to the Bonnet would be worth the fuel now. You could possibly luck out and boat 1 or 2. If you are running out of Brighton, the slot to the east of Netty Patch might be productive. You should do alright for browns off Hog's Back and Moira Shoal.

The hottest ports in the past couple of days have been Port Darlington and Port Hope for numbers and some tyees.

We are going to give it one more shot Sunday out of Wellington for staging kings.

Al

Hey Al: King & George got into them at the mushroom released two Kings in the 25lb. range brought in a couple Coho's & steelhead.

I was at Repers hole on Tuesday, good marks, but no takers. Heard on the VHF of two different boats fishing for browns. I communicated with Predator and he was having a big day again started trolling his way and got into them at the fifty foot depth down 30. We ended up with 2 nice browns and only fished for a hour. Predator left us when we arrived with his limit, wish we had went earlier.

Yes; would love to get out again for the browns, but the Admiral says we have to get the boat ready for our annual trip for the Kingston Blues Festival. Will be back out as soon as we return, next to walleye the browns are our favourite fish to eat.

Hey Bill, Stan, Chuck and I are headed to Reeper's Hole tomorrow. Looking for a 38 lb. king and later we'll try for some browns.
