Just happened to drive by this pond/lake on the corner of Wooler Road, and Telephone Road in Trenton a couple of days ago. Anyone have any info on this water?? Didn't see any boats, or any people, but also didn't see any signs or regs.

Thanks.

This used to be Trenton's drinking source but sense the 911 no open water reservoirs are used for drinking water. When it was illegal to fish it while it was drinking water, it had bass and rainbow trout in it along with pan fish. After it was no longer used it was opened to the public and was soon fished out by some locals and city visitors. There may be the odd trout in it now but mostly rockbass and sunfish. No motorboats permitted. The depth ranges from mostly 2 - 5 ft with one spot about 8 ft. I had no luck about 5 years ago.

Thanks Hutchy. When I was driving by, it looked like it would be a sweet bass/pike lake, but wondered why nobody was there.

I fished it from my bellyboat the other night. A few sunfish on a #10 olive Wooly Bugger but nothing else.
