Was out to fish with a fellow camper last Thursday, and we hit the outer edge of Mallory Bay and trolled into ByGotts Bay, on the way along the south shore, Mark hit a nice 18 incher. Later thewinds blew from the west and it was tough fishing the weed edges in Bygotts.

I was able to contol into the wind and over the course of the morning, I hit three more eyes, the biggest was over 23inches and was a shade under 6lbs. The winds finally took their toll and we heade back at 1130.

Here are the results of the morning: (18-19-20.5 and 23 inches)

On Saturday, my Dad and wife and I headed back to Bygotts to see what we could do. I couldn't do anything, but my wife hit a nice pair of 18.5 inchers and my Dad had a hot hand landing a pair (4.9lbs and 4.6lbs - both released)

Heres' a shot of the fish and the lure:

and a shot of my Dad with the 4.9lber.

Fished the morning only.

On Sunday my Dad and I hit Shermans Pt to try some deeper water, lots of fish from the red buoy to the lighthouse and only one took the bait. Trolled past Carp Cove, the launch ramp and over to Kingscourt, He hit another in 9 feet deep in the weeds. Then the fun began.

I discovered a short circut in the battery, not able to start the main motor, but enought to get the kicker going, so we headed back under kicker power. Thought of all sorts of nasty outcomes of this, BUT, we lucked out. A new battery from Wally world and the problem was solved.

Planning on being out on the weekend again to try and find some fish.

Stay Tuned.

Great report and some really nice looking eaters....bet they tasted good. Glad to hear the battery was the only issue. Good luck on the weekend.
