I know..............it is very early to be thinking about icefishing but I have nothing better to do sooooo let's hear it what is the date of the first fishable ice?
I am going with Dec 30

"Fishable Ice" may have a few different meanings, depending on who you ask. 3-4 inches for experienced guys walking with floater suits, ropes, and buddys, 6-8 inches for guys on sleds with floater suits, and 8-10 for guys like me on foot :lol: :lol:

The only ice I am thinking about for a couple more months atleast is the cubes floating in my drink after a nice day trolling for Quinte eyes!

well i guess i guessed to early i was on the ice fishing for eyes tonight.between 2 and 3 inches of ice and making as we speak.and the fishing was good caught 5 lost 1,threw 3 back and 2 in my pack for supper tommorow.i would have pics if i knew how to get from my phone to sight.be safe

Nuggy be careful. I've been out twice around apsley for speck ok ice at shore but shore only. And those are small still bowl shaped lakes very protected
