Big-O's thread was great! I Hope more people post threads similar...helps pass this loooooong winter. I think i've viewed that thread five times now....

Soooooo, i think i'll make one of my own.

I fish for everything. My goal is to be the most well-rounded Angler out there. Here's some shots taken from my boat this year....

Here's the first fish of 2004. A Beauty Pike from Hammy Bay.
Image

This nice bass was caught in Late March, also in Hammy Bay.....Guess they start early.
Image

A few days later, we learned about Salmon.
Image

My girlfriend loved it as well....
Image
As Did my cousin Dan, who two days later, caught a 22 pounder, which would have easily won that days 1000/a day derby money....but we had no derby ticket! (no digital photo)
Image

And Browns ..... (at the same place, i love Lake Ontario)

My Best:

My Brothers Best:

Then trying for Rainbows in the bay, i picked up a Ultra Rare Hamilton Bay Pickerel. (yes, that ugly pit you see when you cross the Skyway Bridge has nice fish!)
Image

Went out again two days later, trying to find more Pickerel, and instead Theresa found a Beauty Pike!
Image

A beauty Laker, my first and only one.
Image

A little later, fishing Stoney Lake for early season Pickerel, i managed a 30 pound carp, only three shy of the Ontario Record (which i'm sure has been beaten at least a 100 times by anglers in Ontario), on a white tube jig.

Image

Couldn't catch any Pickerel at Stoney Lake, so i figured we'd stay local and hit a hole i know of on the Grand River. We did well....

Image

My good friend Ian nailed this 10+ Channel Cat fishing for more pickerel...

Image

The bass that follow all came from BoQ....Nice little Bass Fishery you guys have here...

The Biggest Bass we caught outta BoQ....

You guys also have some Quality Bowfin Fishing....
Image

Image

Here's the first Salmon we put in the boat, downrigger over 100 Feet. Its quite a feeling getting a fish to hit, down 100 feet....Bringing it up, reviving it, then watching her swim back down to the depths...

Image

Here we are, back in Hammy Bay, trolling for late season Pike, and what do we get, a 20 pound carp.

Image

We also tried our luck at Muskie fishing, and although I didn't catch one, we managed two in the boat.

Here's dad w/ on the guide boat we took. (yep, book a guide when your a rookie muskie fisherman!)

Image

then go off on your own, using what you learned, and get one of your own!

Image

Finally, i'm going to close with the pics you guys are most used to seeing....Big Pickerel from QUinte in the Fall.

There.....hope you guys/gals enjoyed the post....

And please, DO THE SAME...it helps pass the time.....especially for us NON-ICE FISHERMAN!!!!!!!

I love the walleye, but that last Carp was the best!

I hooked onto 25 plus carp one day on a black bucktail while
jigging for walleye. I initially though I had the biggest
walleye of my life. Brought it into the boat, put it into my
livewell and brought it back to the cottage to show my kids.
In the 20 minutes or so, in the livewell, it regained all its
strength lost during the battle to reel it in. I could not
get it out of the livewell. Took about 10 tries to get him out.
Just about broke my arm, from what I could remember.

Steve,

You're right on the mark about the pictures, they'll help everyone pass the winter and get over the cabin fever that arrives around the 1st of Feb.

You had an active year and form the pix a very productive one also.

Best of luck in 2005 - C U at Bayview sometime.
